Ghost Bureau was founded in 2019 by the husband and wife team of Christopher Shulgan and Chantel Guertin. Both trained journalists, they combine their years of experience working in media to create a content marketing agency that helps companies better communicate with clients and prospective customers.

CHRISTOPHER SHULGAN, Partner
Chris Shulgan is a partner at Ghost Bureau. Educated at Queen’s University and Northwestern University, Shulgan holds a Masters in Journalism. He is the author of ten books, eight of them ghostwritten for clients. He specializes in taking complex subjects and using storytelling techniques to bring the information to a wider audience. He has also produced numerous films, shorts and videos for corporate clients as well as the National Film Board, and is now the director of photography on most of Ghost Bureau’s video shoots and producer of multiple podcasts. Shulgan has won a National Magazine Award and been nominated for a National Newspaper Award. Connect with him on LinkedIn.

CHANTEL GUERTIN, Partner
Chantel Guertin is a partner at Ghost Bureau, and the author of nine novels, including two Globe and Mail Instant Bestsellers in 2023: Two for the Road and It Happened One Christmas. Her books are for adults, teens and children, and have been published in multiple countries and languages. She has worked as an editor at ELLE Canada, TheKit.ca and as an on-air expert on The Marilyn Denis Show. She founded Centennial College’s Lifestyle Media – Content Creation post-graduate program, and taught writing, editing and social media management in the Book & Magazine Publishing program. MEGAN FAULKNER, Staff Writer
Megan Faulkner is a writer specializing in creative nonfiction for kids. She is the author and ghostwriter of 47 children’s books, including brand partnerships with Scholastic, Disney Junior, and DreamWorks. An expert in the School Market, she blends clarity, facts, and humour to create engaging, instructional content. Megan holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Queen’s University, a certificate in Digital Marketing Management from the University of Toronto, and a Publishing certificate from Toronto Metropolitan University. ANDREW IMECS, Lead Videographer and Video Editor
Andrew Imecs is a video editor, videographer and host of a successful YouTube channel with more than 25,000 subscribers. Andrew is passionate about video, and his expertise and interest lie in producing engaging content, creating an audience, and post-production editing. He graduated with a degree in fine arts from Toronto Metropolitan University. On the weekends you’ll find him fishing (ideally for pickerel). Connect with him on LinkedIn.

ELAINE GENEST, Managing Editor, French Writer/Translation
Elaine Genest is a bilingual writer, editor, podcast producer and newsletter producer connecting with readers across 12 countries. She writes scripts for video podcasts, brand and explainer videos, and manages social media content for multiple clients. Elaine holds a Bachelor’s in Journalism from Concordia University in Montreal, where she worked as a News Editor for The Link. DHIREN CHADHA, Videographer and Video Editor
Dhiren is a videographer/editor at Ghost Bureau, where he works on everything from explainer videos and brand films to video podcasts. With a background in cinematography, editing, motion graphics, drone work, photography, and design, he brings a thoughtful and well-rounded perspective to each stage of the creative process. He studied Visual Arts and Photography at Symbiosis International University in Pune, India, where he built a strong foundation in composition through images. Before joining Ghost Bureau, Dhiren worked in India as a jewellery and architectural photographer, and as a videographer for media companies—experiences that shaped his eye for detail and design.
