Ghost Bureau was founded in 2019 by the husband and wife team of Christopher Shulgan and Chantel Guertin. Both trained journalists, they decided to combine their years of experience working in newspapers, magazines, online media, book publishing, podcasts and television to create a content marketing agency that could help companies better communicate with clients and prospective customers.

Chris Shulgan is a partner at Ghost Bureau. Educated at Queen’s University and Northwestern University, Shulgan is the author of ten books, eight of them ghostwritten for clients. He’s also produced numerous films, shorts and videos for corporate clients as well as the National Film Board, and produces the weekly podcast, Eat Move Think. Chantel Guertin is a partner at Ghost Bureau, and the author of nine novels, including two Globe and Mail Instant Bestsellers in 2023: Two for the Road and It Happened One Christmas. She has worked as an editor at ELLE Canada, TheKit.ca and as a beauty expert on The Marilyn Denis Show. She founded Centennial College’s Lifestyle Media post-graduate program. Andrew Imecs is a video editor, videographer and host of a successful YouTube channel with more than 23,000 subscribers. Andrew is passionate about video, and his expertise and interest lie in producing engaging content, creating an audience, and post-production editing. Elaine Genest is a bilingual writer, editor, and newsletter producer connecting with readers across 12 countries. Elaine is currently pursuing a Publishing Certificate at TMU to complement her Bachelor’s in Journalism from Concordia University in Montreal, where she worked as a News Editor for The Link. Dhiren works on animated videos, brand videos and video podcasts, from filming to editing. He’s a graduate of Symbiosis International University in Pune, India, with a degree in visual arts and photography. Before joining Ghost Bureau he worked as a jewellery photographer, videographer and architectural photographer for various companies in India and as a videographer for media companies. He is fluent in English and Hindi.
