Ghost Bureau was founded in 2019 by the husband and wife team of Christopher Shulgan and Chantel Guertin. Both trained journalists, they decided to combine their years of experience working in newspapers, magazines, online media, book publishing, podcasts and television to create a content marketing agency that could help companies better communicate with clients and prospective customers.
Chris Shulgan is a partner at Ghost Bureau. Educated at Queen’s University and Northwestern University, Shulgan is the author of ten books, eight of them ghostwritten for clients. He’s also produced numerous films, shorts and videos for corporate clients as well as the National Film Board, and produces the weekly podcast, Eat Move Think. Chantel Guertin is a partner at Ghost Bureau, and the bestselling author of nine novels, including 2023’s Globe and Mail Instant Bestseller Two for the Road. She has worked as an editor at ELLE Canada, TheKit.ca and as a beauty expert on The Marilyn Denis Show. She founded the Lifestyle Media post-graduate program at Centennial College in Toronto. Andrew Imecs is a video editor, videographer and host of a successful YouTube channel with more than 23,000 subscribers. Andrew is passionate about video, and his expertise and interest lie in producing engaging content, creating an audience, and post-production editing. Jasmine Rach is a podcast producer and journalist. Before joining Ghost Bureau, she reported for 680NEWS and the Sonian. Jasmine holds a Master of Journalism degree from TMU, and an Honours Bachelor degree of English and Sexual Diversity Studies from the University of Toronto. Emily Bozik holds a Publishing Certificate from TMU and an Advanced Diploma in Music Theatre Performance from St. Lawrence College, which means she can root out grammatical errors while tap dancing. Emily is passionately pro-Oxford comma, creates compelling content with a fresh perspective, and is hugely successful at catching extra spaces where they shouldn’t be. She lives in Toronto with a brown man, a black dog, and a green turtle.
